The Best Student Award recognises the most outstanding student entry, based on the quality of the abstract and the strength of the presentation. The winner, selected by the conference Co-chairs and selected members from the Scientific Committee, will receive €500 and free registration to the next DDI conference in 2028. Assessment of the oral presentation will be based on:
Quality of scientific content
- Originality of the research topic or methodological approach
- Connection to the international literature
- Quality of the analysis and interpretations
- Contribution to the scientific field
Quality of presentation
- Logical organization of ideas
- Balance between introduction, body and conclusion
- Identification of a key message
- Quality and design (creativity) of the slides
Oral expression
- Fluency
- Clarity and audibility
- Composure
- Time management
Interaction with the audience
- Engagement and interaction with the audience during the talk
- Ability to answer the questions
