The Best Student Award recognises the most outstanding student entry, based on the quality of the abstract and the strength of the presentation. The winner, selected by the conference Co-chairs and selected members from the Scientific Committee, will receive €500 and free registration to the next DDI conference in 2028. Assessment of the oral presentation will be based on:

Quality of scientific content 

• Originality of the research topic or methodological approach
• Connection to the international literature
• Quality of the analysis and interpretations
• Contribution to the scientific field

Quality of presentation

• Logical organization of ideas
• Balance between introduction, body and conclusion
• Identification of a key message
• Quality and design (creativity) of the slides

Oral expression

• Fluency
• Clarity and audibility
• Composure
• Time management

Interaction with the audience

• Engagement and interaction with the audience during the talk
• Ability to answer the questions
